Irwin's Greenlake: Subject to many years of neglect and bad remodels, the project was a diamond in the rough, waiting to be brought back to its’ original glory. Original 1930’s photos showed that a bakery had once stood on the same location. Clearstory windows that had been walled over were exposed and the drop ceiling was removed, creating a light and inviting space. This 2,400 square feet tenant improvement was designed as a retail and commissary facility for a local bakery. |

Methow Trailhead Kiosk: Big skies, open meadows, rocks, trees, mountain streams, and the warmth of the community; these are the forces that shape the Methow Valley and give shape to the trailhead kiosk. The roof form, a simple slope takes the shape of the mountains, expanding to the horizon. The bench nestled between concrete rocks provides a place to rest or meet with friends. The structure, a simple tree form, holds up a canopy that provides shade and protection. The kiosk was the winner of a design competition in the Methow Valley. |
